the jungle book(2016 film):Review

The Jungle book(2016 film): Reliving my childhood days
When I was a kid my favorite superhero was Shaktiman, favorite cricketer was Sachin Tendulkar, and my favorite cartoon was Mowgli . I never saw tom and jerry in my childhood as in those days every family In our village was having the black and white televisions except one. It was one of my friend’s family, they had a colored TV with a big dish antenna attached to it. So around 10 channels it was able to broadcast in those days when our TV was showing only one channel i.e. DD National.
So my friend’s house used to become a kind of theatre for all the kids from the village in the evening at 6 PM. There was popular show ‘Just Kids’ broadcasting about everyday on Shara TV at 6 PM. Two to three animated TV shows were on the list of broadcast, each having a duration of half an hour.
Those days I used to like this cartoon kind of things very much. The jungle book was one of the shows of the ‘Just Kids’. Those days we literally watched about every episode of the jungle book. I liked it very much.
The jungle book is actually a collection of stories by English author Rudyard Kipling. The stories were first published in magazines in 1893-94. Later these stories were led to the cinematic universe and various movies including animated tv series were inspired by it.
The famous characters in the jungle book :
Mowgli: The man cub raised by the wolves pack
Bagheera: The black panther(Mowgli’s best friend and teacher)
Baloo: The bear(Mowgli’s best friend)
Sher Khan: The tiger, the villain of the story
Wolves: Mowgli’s family
Kaa: The snake
I recently watched the 2016 movie produced by walt Disney pictures. I liked the most of the movie. It’s great, it made me feel a lot of things, kind of I relived my childhood days of my life while watching the movie. It was like I knew all the characters of the story, knew most of the plot but still I was enjoying the movie.
I liked Mowgli and Baloo’s being buddies part the most.
One thing that I hated about the movie was relationship between Mowgli and Kaa (the snake) shown in the movie. In the animated series of the jungle book they used to be friends when I watched it in my childhood but in the movie Kaa was shown as attacking Mowgli. I don’t understand this and I didn’t like it at all.
Overall the movie was adorable and wonderful experience. One should definitely go for it if you are anime lover.
Thanks for Reading:
